I am trying

I keep trying to settle down and write on my book.  I did write a few paragraphs last night but WOW, WOW is such a distraction.  I am on a mission while I play and it is so compelling to just hop on and see if I can get a bit more done.
But....I am working on the book.  I am in the middle of a decision however....To show my work to my writer group or to not.  It's an erotic novel and I am not sure if this bunch of people will be as open minded to it as I would like.  I do want some constructive comments but don't want them ripping it apart just because of the subject matter.  So....I don't know really what to do at this point.
I am also debating on changing the title.  I am not at all sure if it is catchy enough even though I think the title will grab the attention of those that would be interested in reading it.....we will see.  The whole book is still a work in progress.

Anyone who says they have only one life to live must not know how to read a book.

**Deep Mental Sigh**

So....once again my husband cranks out two exceptional blogs about his ties.....and what do I have to write - NOTHING!!  lol

As I sit here watching my daughter play Wii and my son argue whether or not he needs to clean his room when all he would rather be doing is playing legos and watching a movie.  I decide that what I would rather be doing is working on my book.   So...off I go to crank out another two pages or so.  I guess I shouldn't feel too bad about having nothing to write on here....after all, all my create ideas are being put into my book instead.  (Or at least, that's what I keep telling myself).

PAWS

So....went to my first PAWS (Pratt Area Writers Society) meeting this evening.  Had a great time.  We talked about their books, books in general and received some great encouragement overall. 
I am looking forward to the next meeting and to looking through some of the things I was given to look at.

Looking for my inspiration

Still looking for my inspiration for a blog.  I do a lot of reading so considered doing book reviews, but didn't think anyone would really be interested in the books I read or they can just read other reviews already posted on the internet.  So....really don't think I will do that right at the moment. 
So......Still looking for my inspiration!  If you have any suggestions let me know....be warned however, my life is rather boring.  **smile**

Work in Progress

As some of you know I am working on writing my first novel.  I have been working on it for awhile as just a hobby (maybe some day type of thing), but the past year I have become more determined to finish it and do something with it afterward....such as publish it.
I am needing about 100 more pages or so to get it to be the appropriate number of pages to be considered a novel.  The pages needed isn't a concern however even though it sounds like a lot.  I am more concerned with my editing process.  I need to go back, fix my mistakes and add MORE DETAIL  to a lot of the scenes since I mainly just did a rough draft through the scenes as I was writing them to keep the creative process flowing.

So....wish me luck as I continue this fun and exciting journey.  **smile**

Natures Beauty

The farm in Oklahoma always has the prettiest sunsets.  I always enjoy bringing my camera and walking out into the wheat field as the sun is going down to see what colors will paint the evening sky.  I am always amazed by it's beauty.

Just a little something to say

My husband is doing this really neat blog about the ties he wears to school everyday.  I think it is a great idea and it also made me want to create a blog of my own....unfortunately, I don't really know what I am going to write blogs about.  I am sure an idea will strike me but until then it will just be my ponderings, rambling and other various thoughts.
